We tested over a dozen popular lighting solutions (ranging from $30 to $450+ a set Holley LED RetroBrights and found that every off-the-shelf 5x7 solution came up short in raw light output. The highest performing champions remains the Morimoto Mini D2S 5.0 and their M LED 2.0 projectors. Although quality often comes at a price, we have discovered a powerful 2.5" LED option for those on a budget as well.

If you're chasing the best and the brightest, we recommend Morimoto Mini D2S 5.0 projectors, 55w ballasts paired with Philips 85122 XV2 Xtreme Vision bulbs. From our own personal testing, HID kits, wiring harnesses & bulbs matter significantly in regards to light output intensity.
