Purpose

Transform your Toyota MR2 with our popular award winning heavy duty premium high-quality leather seat covers! Our seat covers have been extensively tested and used by our team and customers to restore many high-end MR2s, often selling for $20-35k+. If your 30+ year old seat covers are worn out, torn, dried, ripped, or just not doing it for you anymore, it's time for a change.

Our seat covers are made from durable soft PVC leather and feature high-strength nylon stitching. They also come with a storage pouch behind the seats, just like OEM, and are padded for extra comfort. Installation is easy - just cut up your old covers, wrap these on, attach and secure into place using OEM hardware and retaining rods. 

Our optional heated seats add-on is perfect for winter driving, and we also offer alcantara as an option - these are super grippy and great for spirited driving.

      • These do not wrap over your existing covers. These are a full replacement of your existing covers.
      • Fits all 91-98 Toyota MR2 OEM Seats (no pre made holes on sides so can be used for NA seats as well as RHD and LHD, for those with bolster and lumbar adjustments holes will need to be made)
      • These are side specific, check your seat bottom lumbar support to tell them apart. (One side of the bolstering is thicker and bigger than the other side)
      • Pro Tip #1 - Keep all your leather parts conditioned periodically to significantly prolong their lifespan and durability. Sunlight and drying
      • Pro Tip #2 - A steamer on a low setting (not a heat gun) will significantly remove any wrinkles and create a tight fitting contoured look!

All in-stock orders placed before 3:00 PM PST generally ship the same business day.

Orders placed after 3:00 PM, on weekends, or on holidays will typically ship on the next business day. While we work hard to get every in-stock order out as quickly as possible, processing times may occasionally vary during high-volume periods.

Please note that we also offer two preset shipping options of $40 and $60 for orders that require manual shipping quotes. If the actual shipping cost exceeds the selected preset amount, we will invoice you for the remaining balance.

Most small packages cost under $40 to ship. Most small items that fit in an polybag costs around $5 or so for CONUSA shipping.

If an item is In Stock, it is ready to ship and will be packaged and sent out as quickly as possible.

Because many of our products are produced in limited quantities, popular items can sell out between production runs. With production and manufacturing lead times often ranging from 1-3+ months, unexpected demand can quickly deplete available and planned inventory, and waiting for future production runs may mean missing one—or even multiple—batches and facing a significant delay.

Pre-Orders help us accurately gauge demand and plan production quantities while allowing customers to secure their spot & receive their parts in a timely manner. This helps reduce delays and the chances of products selling out unexpectedly, while ensuring we can continue bringing more specialized products to the community.

Not all pre-orders are the same. Depending on the product, a pre-order may be for an existing product that is temporarily sold out or a new product that is still in development.

The product page will provide the most current estimated fulfillment timeline and any relevant project details.

Restock Pre-Orders — Existing Products

Many of our products are produced in limited quantities, and popular items can sell out between production runs.

If an existing product is sold out, we may open a pre-order for the next production batch. These products have already been developed and produced previously, but additional manufacturing time is required before the next batch is ready.

Pre-ordering secures your place in the next production run and ensures you don’t miss the next available batch.

Development Pre-Orders — New Products

Some pre-orders are for completely new products that are still being developed.

Developing a new product is a significant process. Depending on the complexity of the project, it may involve:

  • Product design and engineering
  • Prototyping and testing
  • Tooling and mold development
  • Fitment and quality/mold revisions
  • Manufacturing preparation
  • Final production and quality control

A single product can take 3 months to over a year to fully develop before it is ready for regular production.

During this process, prototypes, molds, fitment, or manufacturing methods may require revisions. If we identify an issue that does not meet our standards, we may need to make corrections before moving forward with production.

This can occasionally extend the estimated timeline, but we believe it is better to correct an issue before shipping rather than rush a product to customers that does not meet our standards.

We always aim to provide the best estimated timeline available at the time a pre-order is listed.

However, estimated dates are not guaranteed. Manufacturing schedules can change, and development projects may require additional time for prototyping, revisions, production, or quality control.

We do not believe in rushing production simply to meet a projected date.

Before a product ships, it must go through the appropriate manufacturing, finishing, fitment, and quality control processes to ensure it meets our standards.

If there are any significant changes to the estimated timeline, we will provide pre-order customers with updates as information becomes available.

Good products take time. We'd rather get it right than get it out fast.

Our goal is to continue supporting the MR2 community by developing new and unique products that may not otherwise exist.

Pre-orders and group buys allow us to better determine demand and commit to larger production quantities. Larger manufacturing orders can help reduce per-unit production costs, allowing us to pass a portion of those savings directly on to our customers while also helping fund the development of future products.

By participating in a pre-order, you are not only securing your product—you are also helping make new projects possible.

Depending on the project, participating in a pre-order or group buy may provide:

  • Up to 20% off or more on future regular product price
  • Priority access before regular inventory becomes available
  • The ability to secure your place in a limited production run
  • The opportunity to help bring new, community-requested products to market

Because pre-orders and group buys allow us to commit to production quantities, tooling, manufacturing, and product development, pre-order purchases are generally non-refundable once the order has been placed.

If you no longer wish to wait for your pre-order, you may have the option to convert the full amount paid into MR2 Heaven store credit, which can be applied toward MR2 Heaven-branded products.

Please note that pre-order fulfillment timelines are estimates and may change due to manufacturing, fitment, quality control, or other unforeseen development delays.

In the unlikely event that a product is ultimately unable to be produced or the project is permanently canceled, all affected pre-order customers will receive a full refund.

Transformed the car. Old cracked leather covers out, replaced with new. I used zip ties and massaged seat foam to where it needed to be, and the seats feel like brand new. I added some soft foam to drivers side to increase bolstering. Also got the heated seat kit which I'm wiring up to period-correct Toyota heated seat switches in the switch blanks next to fog light switch, for 100% stock look. My only gripe - Was sold as black Alcantara but the center part looks gray... much lighter than rest of car interior, until t-tops leak and get the fabric wet.

Bought these with the intention on having a professional install them. Watched videos, did them myself. Took one night watching a baseball game lol. No steamer, but once they were in the car in the sun the small wrinkles come out. 10/10 on fitment and feel. Definitely makes the bolsters and cushion feel brand new again! Bought the whole kit (heaters etc) all wired up nice n easy. I paired them with the door cards and shifter boot. Updates the interior nicely.

The covers are almost factory fit so it looks really good. My main issue is that there are NO instructions in the box. There is no mention of what tools is required to this seat cover replacement properly. You NEED to have hog rings and hog ring pliers. I tried to clamp the old hog rings I took of with normal needle noise pliers and it's extremely difficult to clamp the seat cover metal rod to the seat metal rod. So some sort of instructions from MR2 Heaven and info about needing hog ring pliers would have save me alot of time.

Overall a fantastic way to dress-up/clean up your factory seats. The good: These seat covers fit the factory seats quite well, are tight, and are of great quality. Microfiber/Alcantara feel nice and vinyl 'leather' feels soft to the touch. The not-great: seats require the use of your factory metal upholstery wires and rubber cording. Reusing the wire was not an issue, but after 30 years the rubber cording was shot, my recommendation is for MR2 Heaven to offer this cording for the seat backs as an accessory to purchase. (The rubber pieces that stretch up under the seat back to keep the seat-back edges snug into their seams, or an alternative.) Use 3/4" hog rings and pliers, available on amazon. (Another accessory product idea MR2Heaven!)

I'm super happy with how these turned out. The job takes a while and requires a few specialized tools. use hog rings not zip ties. My wife loves the seat heat. After putting in the work to get the job done right I'm left feeling really surprised and proud that I was actually able to reupholster my seats. I personally love the stock seats in my MR2 so I'm glad that these ended up being the best way to go to have fresh new seats in the car. One thing I didn't consider was that now the door cards don't match my seats so i'll likely have to buy some alcantara door card centers to keep the interior cohesive and OEM looking.

These seat covers are the real deal, NOT a generic, universal fit. They are perfectly fitted and restore your seats to better than factory specs. The tan covers transformed my interior. I couldn't be happier! I've already ordered the door cards and can't wait to see it all come together. I was also very pleased to see that all of the wrinkles from packaging quickly went away after a little time in the sun after install. Thanks again!

Before and after. Couldn't be happier - had them reupholstered by Pacific Auto Trim here in Vancouver and they were really impressed with the quality of the covers and actually asked me where I got them which is a good indicator. Seats are WAY more comfortable and the material holds your arse in place very well indeed. Couldn't get the 2 piece shift cup to work with my TRD short shifter (too tall to get the C spring to seat) and the boot is a bit long for that application as well, even with the added drop plate, but as you can see it can be made to work and coordinates the whole interior nicely. Plus, it not only looks like a new car, it smells like one too!

Love them! Great item if you just want to keep your OEM seats and replace the old worn out cloth. Leather quality on these are amazing. Very soft and comfortable. Nice amount of cushion. Ended up using zip ties for all the connections and everything pretty much worked well. Had one minor factory flaw with a smaller opening but was able to work around it get it to fit. These seat covers use all the OEM seat equipments. You just have to transfer everything over.
