This necessary steering wheel adapter allows for the installation of the standard aftermarket steering wheels with most common 6 bolt mounting pattern from brands such as OMP, MOMO, Sparco, Recaro, Nardi, Personal, Prodrive etc onto the 91-98 Toyota MR2.
This is also needed when installing a quick release system (shown here).
